The Only Breast Pump of it's Kind
Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow Single-Electric Breast Pump offers the same unmatched technology of the recently released manual pump, with additional convenience.
St. Louis, MO, December 1, 2006 – Handi-Craft Company, the manufacturer of the Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow products, recently launched the Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow Single-Electric Breast Pump, a natural extension to its breast-feeding line. The single electric pump offers the same unmatched technology of the manual pump, with the additional convenience of automated milk expression.
This Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow breast pump is the only single-electric, personal-use pump with breakthrough One-Way airflow, pulsation & stimulation technology for maximum milk flow and ultimate comfort. First researched and developed for hospital breast pumps, utilizing Whittlestone® Hospital Technologies, the Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow breast pumps are the first pumps to truly simulate a baby while expressing milk. Other breast pumps currently on the market utilize a Two-Way airflow, creating a “suck and release” motion that tugs and pulls on the mother’s nipple. Conversely, when babies feed at the breast, they express milk by latching, and using soft compressions with their tongue, mouth and jaw.
According to Dr. Jimi Francis, PhD, IBCLC, the Dr. Brown’s single-electric breast pump could not have come sooner, “Many of the mothers I consult have started using the Dr. Brown’s manual pump due to the unmatched technology. We have found that Dr. Brown’s patented One-Way airflow in combination with their unique ultra-soft honeycomb liner rhythmically compresses the areola, while gently pulsating against the nipple to increase Prolactin and Oxytocin production. This ensures an increased milk supply, better let down and ultimate comfort. Moms will be ecstatic to learn that Dr. Brown’s now has an automated pump available.”
Unlike previous basic Two-Way airflow pumps that can push germs into the breast through the open milk ducts, Dr. Brown’s unique One-Way airflow continuously draws air and any present germs away from the breast, thus reducing the likelihood of breast infections. Additionally, the Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow Breast Pump is clinically proven to provide pain-free relief of engorgement, which is an intense, painful swelling of the breasts.
"We continuously receive tremendous feedback from moms and lactation consultants since the launch of our manual pump in August. This feedback only fuels our excitement to get our single and double electric pumps to market on behalf of numerous busy moms." asserts Carolyn Hentschell, President of Handi-Craft Company.
Just like the manual breast pump, the Dr. Brown’s single electric breast pump fits all Standard and Wide-Neck Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow baby bottles. For a complete list of products and retailers, visit www.handi-craft.com. The single-electric pump retails for $139.99. Handi-Craft plans to launch a double-electric pump later early 2007.
